‘AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR’ And Untitled ‘AVENGERS 4’ Being Shot Separately

Filming for the much-anticipated ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ has been underway since January and it was announced that both ‘Infinity War’ and its sequel would be filmed at one time. That doesn’t seem to be the case anymore according to Kevin Fiege, President of Marvel Studios and all around Marvel guru. In a recent interview with Collider, Fiege revealed that it was just too much to film both of the movies without a break:

“We’re doing them one right after another… It became too complicated to cross-board them like that, and we found ourselves—again, something would always pay the price. We wanted to be able to focus and shoot one movie and then focus and shoot another movie.”

But Fiege did say they would be filmed back to back so it shouldn’t really derail anything. It seems more that they want to be able to take a step back and get ahold of their bearings before moving on with the project. It was also originally said that the films would be a Part One and Part Two but that also was backtracked since the announcement. There seems to be a lot of moving parts with ‘Avengers 4’ and the studio may want to keep its options open when it comes to the contents of the film.

It was noble of Marvel to think they would be able to pull off such a feat and it would have been impressive. It is of course very difficult to make a movie let alone two major blockbusters at one time and these sorts of things happen all the time in Hollywood. Let alone the logistical nightmare it is to deal with a cast of this size and all of their busy schedules. So it’s safe to say it’s much to do about nothing. –Jackson Hayes
