Fans of the emerald archer have been wanting the new King Arthur, Charlie Hunnam, to star as Green Arrow in the DCEU. Hunnam recently expressed that he didn’t care for superheroes but he now seems more open to the idea.
Although the character has its own TV series on CW, fans off the DCEU have been wanting to Green Arrow come to life on the big screen. Charlie Hunnam is a name has been floating around for a long time and only now has he expressed interest in a superhero film.
Thanks to Brazilian website Omelette, they interviewed Charlie Hunnam and asked him about the DC Comics hero.
- “You know, I’m not a comic book fan so I don’t really know the Green Arrow. Do I look like him? Have they made a Green Arrow film? … Well, come on, DC, what’s up? Give me a call!”
I would love for him to play the famous archer in a DCEU film but I don’t think WB would be open for a solo film. Perhaps GA could appear in the next Justice League, or even the upcoming Batman film from Matt Reeves. Either way Hunnam is a great choice and if WB is considering bringing the hero to the DCEU, he is surely capable of filling the role.
